Special Brunch Party 2026 at New Location!

Cheers! It's that time of the year when we reconnect and celebrate with friends and colleagues as we mark the end of another cycle! Join us in a new special location for a delicious brunch. Enjoy the food, drinks and communion. 

Don't forget to show your talent at our open mic session (more info below).

• Price: $50 per person. Includes a complete brunch menu, with appetizer, entree, assorted soft drinks, juices, still water, sparkling water, coffee & assorted teas and a bar with wine, beer, and mimosas.

• . The NYCT is paying for a portion of the expenses, so that we can offer our members a more reasonable price. Limited availability. REGISTER ASAP!

• Where: The Ragtrader  Between 5th & 6th, 70 W 36th St., New York, NY 10018

• When: Saturday, December 12, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. 

• Current NYCT members are welcome to bring a guest at a $60 fee.

• The deadline for registration and payment is December 07. No registrations will be processed after that date.

• No refunds will be granted.

OPEN MIC INFO:

We encourage our members to showcase their talents, whether or not related to translation.

• Read from your own translations (published or works-in-progress). Translations may be into English or other languages.
• Read selections of your own poetry, fiction, or essays (particularly if the topic is translation-related or international, but all topics are welcome!)
• Perform a piece of your favorite music, dance, or anything you are good at. 

• Your name and a brief bio
• The English title of the work you plan to read
• The title of the work in its source language
• The length of time it will take to read (up to 5 minutes)
• If it is anything other than reading, please provide the details and how much time you need.
