Technology has changed the way we connect across languages. And while there is understandable concern about what these changes may mean for our profession, there is also something worth celebrating: new possibilities are opening before us.
Drawing from more than three decades of experiences, challenges, and unforgettable moments in the world of language mediation, NYCT's own Anthony Alencar will share stories from the profession, lessons learned along the way, and practical ideas for growing and moving forward in your career.
Join fellow interpreters and translators for a conversation inspired by Anthony's new book, The Human Interpreter: Meaning and Discernment in an Age of AI.
More than a book talk, this will be an opportunity to gather as colleagues, reflect on where our profession is going, and celebrate the very human work we do.
An afternoon of conversation, encouragement, professional inspiration, and connection—followed by a book signing with the author, wine and Hors d'Oeuvres.
Come celebrate our profession.
Come reconnect with colleagues and meet new ones.
Come be encouraged about the future.
